Cangas has thirty-nine beaches, though we do not boast about the number but about the quality.
The beaches of Cangas are of immaculate, fine sand. Many have been awarded the Blue Flag.
Together with quality and quantity, we must also mention the diversity due to the location of the municipality between two rías, each one with its own, marked personality.
In the Ría de Aldán there are remote, solitary coves, such as Castiñeiras and Pipín, and other more accessible, crowded beaches such as Areabrava and Menduíña. In turn, the Ría de Vigo welcomes us with the practically virgin beaches of Liméns, Nerga, Barra and Melide, all framed by large dunes and great biological diversity.
